ByHuman is private by default. No accounts, no telemetry, no cookies, no funny business. Here's what that means, in plain words.
Nothing. The ByHuman desktop, iOS, and Android apps store your badge text locally on your device. They do not send what you type, your badge text, or your identity to any server. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, no telemetry. The apps never read keystrokes or text from other applications.
The ByHuman keyboard does not make network requests, does not log keystrokes, and does not read the contents of text fields. Full Access is requested only so the keyboard's Copy button can write your saved badge to the clipboard — the Insert button works without Full Access. Your badge is shared between the app and the keyboard through a local iOS App Group; nothing leaves the device.
The getbyhuman.com website is a static page. Our host may keep short-lived request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for abuse prevention. We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party tracker. No cookies are set.
If we add public verification pages (getbyhuman.com/u/yourhandle), creating one will require an email
address and will be entirely opt-in. The current app does not offer this.
ByHuman is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the effective date above will update and a note will appear on the home page.
