ByHuman is built to be private by default. This page describes exactly what we do and do not collect.
Nothing. The ByHuman desktop, iOS, and Android apps store your badge text locally on your device. They do not send what you type, your badge text, or your identity to any server. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, no telemetry. The apps never read keystrokes or text from other applications.
The getbyhuman.com website is a static page. Our host may keep short-lived request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for abuse prevention. We do not run Google Analytics or any third-party tracker. No cookies are set.
If we add public verification pages (getbyhuman.com/u/yourhandle), creating one will require an email
address and will be entirely opt-in. The current app does not offer this.
ByHuman is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the effective date above will update and a note will appear on the home page.
